Civil Disobedience 3/1/22: Boy, I don't know Henry. Read while considering purchasing a fancy Prototype Press edition. To agree with 'That government is best which governs least' and 'That government is best which governs not at all' is to agree with an argument for anarchy. It presupposes the failure of the project. Better to argue, with Lincoln, for the better angels of our nature, IMO. The slavers lost, after all, and they lost through the power of government. Properly understood, government, through the consent of the governed, is the only chance justice has to prevail.
