of the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour: to whom be glory and dominion for ever and ever: amen.

Meeting. To whom be glory and dominion for ever and ever: amen, and amen.

When the Meeting is a General one, and not of the Committee, then the two last sentences in the last collect but one, "Give us &c." will be left out, and the following words substituted in their place.— "Give us to speak only according to thy will, and may every thing said be for Christian edification and usefulness to all who are here assembled."

A SOCIAL PRAYER:

to be used when a few christian friends meet in the house of one of their number, to make supplications for themselves, their friends, the Church of Christ, and the world at large: Malachi, 3: 16.—Acts, 12: 12.

The Conductor of the Worship.-Let us sing to the praise and the glory of God:-" When those &c." -[pronouncing the two first lines of the following hymnor referring to some other, and pronouncing the two first lines of it.]

[All Stand.]

1. When those who feared the Lord of old
Met oft, and spake with one accord,
A book was written, and enrolled
Their faithful names before the Lord.

2. They shall be mine, Jehovah said,
And as a signet on my hand,
A crown of glory for my head,
Among my chosen jewels stand.

3. And I will spare them in that day,
Even as a father spares his son,
When all the proud are swept away,
The wicked, root and branch, undone.

4. Then shall my righteousness be shown:
Then, by their good or evil lot,

The sinner and the saint be known,

Who served the Lord,-who served Him not.

5. Lord, we are taught thy name to fear;
0 may we tremble to offend;

Lord, we are taught to serve Thee here;
May we be faithful to the end.

6. Our names are on thy Church's rolls,
But in thy Book our pardon write;
Rich was the ransom of our souls,
May they be precious in thy sight.

Conductor.-Let us Pray.

[All kneel.]

Conductor.-Almighty God, Maker and Governor of the Universe, we draw near into thy hallowed presence, and approach thy throne of grace. O Lord, have mercy upon us whilst we are so engaged, and enable us to worship thee in spirit and in truth.

All present.-Almighty Maker and Governor of the Universe, enable us at this time to worship thee in spirit and in truth.

Conductor.-Almighty and Most Merciful God, we presume not to come before thee in our own name, for we are sinful, defiled, and guilty creatures, and thou art Most Holy and Pure, and infinitely removed from sin, and altogether inaccessible to sinners in their own name. But we come unto thee, not in our own name, but in the name of thy Beloved Son Jesus Christ, through whom thou art approachable, and through whom thou art merciful and gracious.

All-Merciful God, behold us before thee, not in our own name, but in the name of thy Beloved Son Jesus Christ.

Conductor.-O God, Infinitely wise and glorious in all thy ways, we adore and praise thee for the display of thy Justice and Mercy in the gift, the unspeakable gift of thy Son Jesus Christ, for this sinful, and lost, and miserable world. Through the atone

ment made for sinners by Jesus Christ according to thy appointment, thou, O God, art just, and the justifier of the ungodly. Glory and adoration be to thy name, Infinite Jehovah, for this glorious display of thy character, and for this thy mercy to sinners.

All-Glory and adoration be to thy name, Infinite Jehovah, for this display of thy character, and for this thy mercy to sinners.

Conductor.-Most Merciful Father, we approach thy throne of grace through the sacrifice and atonement made on our behalf by our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Through this sacrifice alone we look unto thee, assured that there is no remedy for us but in it, and assured that the blood of Christ cleanseth from all sin according to thine own blessed declaration. Condescend, O God, to look upon us through the AllGlorious Work of Jesus Christ for our Redemption.

All.-O Lord, condescend to look upon us, through the All-Glorious Work of Jesus Christ for our Redemption.

Conductor.-O Lord, we confess before thee, that we, one and all of us, are sinners, guilty and vile in thy sight. Thy all-just and perfect law of Love,-of love to thee, and love to our fellow men, we have broken times and ways without number, and much and greatly have our sins in many ways been aggravated. O Lord, we lie under condemnation most just, we have merited thy indignation and wrath. But thou, O God of Mercy, have mercy upon us. The blood of Jesus Christ was shed expressly for the remission of sin,-O Lord, grant us the remission of our sins, and a full absolution from all our guilt, through the all-precious atonement made by our Blessed Redeemer for our Salvation.

All.-O Lord of Mercy, grant unto us, we beseech thee, the remission of all our sins, and a full absolution from all our guilt, through the atonement made by our Blessed Redeemer for our Salvation.

Conductor.-O Lord our God, we adore thee for that peace which thou hast promised through the forgiveness of sins in thy Son our Saviour Jesus Christ. Lord, grant unto us this Peace, sensibly and abundantly: O let us enjoy peace, full peace, with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

All.- God our Maker, vouchsafe unto us, a full and entire peace with thee, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Conductor.-O God of all grace, remember, we pray thee, remember thy promise to give thy Holy Spirit to dwell in all who believe in thy Son Jesus Christ. O Lord, we believe, O Lord, give to us thy Spirit, according to thy promise. O may God dwell in us, and may we dwell in God, through his Spirit given unto us.

All.-O may God dwell in us, and may we dwell in God, through his Spirit given unto us.

Conductor.-Father of mercies and God of love, we give thanks and adoration to thy Ever Blessed Name, for ordering our lot in a land of light and salvation, for bringing to our ears the message of mercy and forgiveness through our Lord Jesus Christ. And, Ö God of love, especially do we praise thee, for opening our understandings and our hearts, and making us to believe and receive thy salvation offered unto us in the gospel of thy grace. All glory be to thy name, O Lord our God, for these thy dealings of mercy, grace, and love, towards us poor and guilty sinners.

All-All glory be to thy name, O Lord our God, for these thy dealings of mercy, grace, and love, towards us poor and guilty sinners.

Conductor-And now, O Lord our God and our Father, what should we do that we might show forth thy praise and glory for thus calling us out of darkness into thy marvellous light. O Lord our God, how may we praise thee, how may we magnify thy Adorable
