Painting by a Chinese artist at Canton, on a
punch-bowl, 1786. In the Peabody Museum,
Salem, Massachusetts. The Grand Turk opened
the American trade with China at Canton in
1785, and with the Dutch at the Isle of France
in 1787. She was built for E. H. Derby in 1781.
