The rise and development of our scientific culture has been much more influenced by fundamental Christian ideas than is commonly realised. The purpose of this book is to set out some considerations regarding the distinctive contributions of the Christian mind to human life and thought, especially within the context of our knowledge of the world as it is steadily being transformed through the discoveries of modern science.
