Nothing can be more false. Whoever desires to find favour with God should ' cease from evil, and learn to do well.
Página 34 - I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.
Página 21 - Do they know God as a pardoning God? Have they the Love of God abiding in them ? Do they desire and seek nothing but God ? And are they holy in all Manner of Conversation ? 2 Have they Gifts (as well as Grace) for the Work?
Página 26 - Is this an exception to the general rule ? It is a doubt, whether God makes any exception at all. But how are we sure, that the person in question, never did fear God, and work righteousness ? His own saying so is not proof: for we know, how all that are convinced of sin, undervalue themselves in every respect.

Let the Preachers warn every Society that none who is guilty herein can remain with us.

Above all, if you labor with us in our Lord's vineyard, it is needful that .you should do that part of the work which we advise, at those times and places which we judge most for his glory.

Página 24 - The most effectual way of preaching Christ is to preach him in all his offices; and to declare his law, as well as his Gospel, both to believers and unbelievers. Let us strongly and closely insist upon inward and outward holiness in all its branches.
Página 31 - God go on in their soul: the more watchful they are against all sin; the more careful to grow in grace, the more zealous of good works, and the more punctual in their attendance on all the ordinances of God. (Whereas just the contrary effects are observed, whenever this expectation ceases.) They are saved by hope, by this hope of a total change, with a gradually increasing salvation.
