This trial presents the first instance on record where truth was admitted as justification of
a libel, a doctrine since admitted in American jurisprudence.

"The counsel for the defendant was Andrew Hamilton, of Philadelphia, who, for the able defense he made upon the occasion, was rewarded, by order of the Common Council of New York, with the freedom of the city in a splendid gold box. The trial took place in 1735."- Rich.

Dr. Zubly was a delegate from Georgia to the Constitutional Congress in 1775-6, and
notwithstanding his "warmth for the Congress," he opposed separation from England, and
returned to Savannah, which his unpopularity soon forced him to leave.

WASHINGTON. Same figure, in same posture, but from a different sized metal, with different accessories, and many variations in the work. It is wholly unlettered, does not appear ever to have been published, and is of the GREATEST RARITY. Framed to match the preceding No., with which it forms a VERY FINE and probably UNIQUE pair.

The above bookcases were made for their present owner by Messrs. Kimbal & Cabus.
They are all of uniform height, of the same style and character, and in fine preservation.
