Other Information.-On June 1, 1907, the Rev. Francis McFetrich resigned the cure of St. John's Church. From that date until November Sunday services were held regularly by various clergymen. At this time the question arose of building a new Church or repairing the old. After serious consideration; it was wisely resolved to repair the old Church. This has been done in a very satisfactory manner, and the result is delightful. The interior improvements are a perfect transformation. The walls and ceiling have been replastered and beautifully decorated; the Church has been carpeted throughout; the old seats were removed and new and modern pews have taken their place; the entire woodwork, within and without the building, has been thoroughly painted; and the basement has been enlarged and refitted, which admirably takes the place of a Parish building for Sunday School and other purposes. The Rectory, too, has been completely overhauled and painted. During the repairing of the Church occasional services were held in private houses. The Church was reopened on Sunday, April 5, when large congregations attended the services. The total cost of the improvements was $2,500, of which there is an unpaid balance of $500.
