Another lease in reuercon graunted by Br Jones to Thomas Braughall of Ardbrackhan yeoman for cj yeares wth reseruacon of the same rent.

Clonfadforam contayning ex acres in Westmeath demised by BP Brady to John Conan now held by S Roger Jones knight. The rent is iiij" Ir. or xlv ster. The terme is saied to be about fiftie yeares yet to come the lease I haue not seene.

Ballinaspicke als Bishopstowne in the Countie of Westmeath two concurrent leases were graunted hereof by BP Brady for the yearley rent of xij beoues. Thone to John Dongan for fiftie one yeares beginning xxiiij Februarij 1578. The other to Peter Nangle for lxj yeares beginning at Easter A° 1583.

Clare in Westmeath leased by BP Brady to John Dongan xxiiij februarij A° 1578 for lj yeares wth reseruacon of viij beoues for the annuall rent.

Ballindrynam Ballintolcham Kilmanaghan Ballinkilline Tullamoyragher Ballemurre in the parish of Moyraffyn Ballinckny Ballikilmurry Atherny & Balladrohíd in the parish of Moylin in Fercall in the Kings Countie. All these lands together with the advowson of the Rectorie of Rathwire in the Countie of Westmeath were passed in fee farme by Bishop Brady to the Earle of Killdare for iiij" Ir. or iij" ster. p annũ. wch rent allso is neuer paid. This was done vnder a colour of Exchaunge of these lands for Bishoppescorte wch the earle challenged as his owne Whereas it is well knowne to haue been the auncient demesnes of the Bishoppricke and the only house where he made his residence in Westmeath. The land in Fercall is passed by Ires patentes vnto S Fraunces Blundell in the late plantacon of O Moloyes Countrey wthout any recompence as yet giuen to the Br either for the land itselfe or for the small rent that was reserued uppon it.

The Rectory of Ballimore als Loxewdy in the Countie of Westmeath leased by BP Brady for cxltie beoues p annu. But afterward by Bishop Dodde for the yearelie rent of xxx" ster. the lessee being bound to bear all charges ordinarie and extraordinarie. Wherevppon the question ariseth whether he be not hereby

bound to pay the kings twentieth part and the B proxies yearely, the lease continueth for xvij or xviij yeares yet to come. The Rectorie of the Nobber wth the Chappells belonging therevnto worth lx" ster. p annu. The tith corne and hay of Julianstowne apptayning to this Rectorie was demised by Edward BP of Meathe A° primo Edwardi 6" to Thomas S' Laurence als Howth for iiij xixen yeares he paying thereout yearely iij markes Ir. that is xxx' ster.

The Rectorie of Tryme in the Countie of Meath lately annexed by his Matte to the Brick wch is worth Communibus annis (the vicars allowance being deducted) cc ster. A good parcell of the Tithes of this Rectorie was leased by M' Draper (late B" of Killmore and parson of Tryme) for the vse of his wife who is now turned Recusant. Another portion in the towne of Tryme was demised by the said BP Draper to Nicholas Locke for the yearely rent of xxvj' Ir. or xx' ster.

The Pentions belonging to the Bricke of Meath are Out of the Rectorie of Paynestowne xxnobles Ir. or v" ster. Out of the priorie of Duleeke xxvj" xiij' iiij" Ir. or xx" ster. Out of the Priorie of Colpe xx" Ir. or xv" ster. heretofore vsually paid by the now lord Viscount of Drogheda. But now stayed because as he alleadgeth others should ioyne wth him in the payment thereof.

Out of St Maries Abbay by Dublin xx" Ir. or xv" ster. heretofore duly paid by the Kings ffarmo" but now by many of them denied.

Besides I finde in BP Bradyes rentall I finde v" viij' viija Irish paid as a pention out of the priorye of Molengare vj beoues out of the monastery of Loxewdy. Six beoues out of the priory of Derrowes. Six beoues of Wastina in the Deanrie of Loxewdy. And foure beoues out of the Monastery of Kilbeggan none of wch are now paid.

The proxies are receaued by the B" of Meath partlie out of the Institutive, partlie out of the impropriate liveings.

The institutive proxies of the Archdeaconrie of Kells als Nobber annexed to the Bricke of Meath are yearly x" iiij' ix"

Others put of their payment from the farmors of the Abbayes to the farmo" of the Rectories appropriated therevnto. And euery seuerall Rectorie is comonly deuided amongst so many seuerall farmors that vnlesse a more certayne course be taken herein his Maties gratious intention of augmenting the meanes of this Brick wilbe vtterly frustrate.

All the landes in Westmeath belonging to this Brick were demised by BP Jones primo Nouembris A°. Dm. 1592 to Edward Maloane for lxxj yeares he paying thereout tenne beoues yearely. and preserving the young hawkes of Goshawkes faulcons and Tassells breeding in the woods of Clonemacknosh. Halfe of we he is bound to deliver to the BP of Meath at his house in Ardbrackhan, or to pay iij" for euery hawke that shall be stollen, or otherwise negligently lost, But by reason of the continuall felling of the great Timber in those woods (for wch the said lessee hath noe licence graunted him in his lease) the hawkes wthin this yeare or two haue forsaken the place, and so the B" hath lost the benefit of that reservacon.

All the lands in the Countie of Roscommon belonging to the said Brick were passed in fee farme by B' Jones xx° Nouembris A 1586 to Anthony Brabazon for the yearely rent of x markes Ir. or vi ster. There are twelue quarters of land enioyed by this graunt much whereof was not in the Bs possession at the tyme wherein this State was passed. There is none of the Clergies hands to the Conveyance neither doth it appear by any witnesses That by their consent their seale was affixed there
