His aim has even been fo extenfive as to lay before the public, general, uniform and liable principles for guiding, in fome meafure, their fentiments with refpea' to univerfal benevolence, the neceflity of a faithful at. Tention to duty, and the high excellency of religion and piety. Infulated with regard to party or connections.
