ND [Fefus] was cafting out a Devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the Devil was gone out, the dumb fpake: and the people 15. wondred. But fome of them faid, He cafteth out devils through Beelzebub, the chief of the devils.
16. And others tempting him, fought of him a fign from heaven. But he know- ing their thoughts, faid unto them, "Every kingdom divided against it "felf, is brought to defolation: and a ❝houfe divided against a house falleth. 18." If Satan alfo be divided against him-
felf, how fhall his kingdom ftand? "because ye fay that I caft out devils
through Beelzebub: and if I by Beel- Bethany. "zebub caft out devils, by whom do Luk. xi. your fons caft them out? there"fore they fhall be your judges. But "if I with the finger of God caft out "devils, no doubt the kingdom of God. is come upon you. When a strong 21. man armed keepeth his palace, his cc goods are in peace. return unto my houfe whence I came * out. And when he cometh he find- 25. "eth it swept and garnished. Then
goeth he, and taketh to him seven "other Spirits more wicked than him"felf, and they enter in and dwell "there and the laft ftate of the man "is worse than the first.
And it came to pafs as he fpake 27. thefe things, a certain woman of the company lift up her voice, and faid unto him, Bleed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou haft fuck- ed. But he faid, Yea, rather bleffed are 28, they that bear the word of God and keep it.
