J.J. Braddock wrote the book The Soul Shattering based on the true account of a Bosnian woman who survived the unspeakable crimes and horrors of the war in Bosnia. It is a tribute to all the women and young girls of Bosnia-Herzegovina who were subjected to systematic rape and abuse. It is also the story of a family caught in the chaos of the war events.

Acerca del autor (2011)

James J. Braddock, was born in Sarajevo, municipality of Marijin Dvor in the heart of the city. He resided there until the end of war and the siege of Sarajevo. Born Josip J. Knezevi?, he holds a degree in law from Sarajevo University, and is a lawyer who never pursued that career, except in his own quest for justice. He also holds a degree from the world famous Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU), Prague, Czech Republic and considers himself a director, journalist and writer. He was the leading TV director in the Information and Sport Program sections of TV Sarajevo, national Bosnian TV and Yutel. During the siege of his hometown Sarajeve and worst Serbian attacks, he stayed in the city and intensively contributed as a TV director, reporter or commentator in telling the truth and nature of that genocidal aggression to the world. He is an author of the world's first documentary about aggression on Sarajevo "The rage of a man from Sarajevo". The film has been first shown in the first Sarajevo film festival- SFF in 1993. And because of that all his real properties have been destroyed and burnt down which caused him to spend the next four years living in a national television's building. In 1995. he started working as a director at a Croatian television HRT 3, later for Slovenian TV and he was an editor and a journalist to many publications in Croatia. He presently works and lives in Zagreb, Croatia.
